A Retrospective look at Hewson and Kickstarter

Hewson, one of the pioneering game developing companies from the 80’s boasted a large range of quality titles. Here we will show you some games that stood out and ones we spent hours playing as a child (still do now as a adult). Thanks to Andrew & Rob Hewson, we look at their new book they will be releasing via Kickstarter – Hints & Tips for Videogame Pioneers .

From shooters, platform to puzzle games Hewson had it all. From their humble beginnings they were a force to be wreckend with the quality of titles they were releasing. Lets have a look at some choice titles.

Cyberdyne Warrior- C64
With awesome plat forming action and colourful graphics, this title is hard to pass up. This was one game that was hard as nails but so much fun.

Mission Impossibubble – C64
This isometric action puzzler tested your patience and was also one of the free games that offered on the Commodore Format magazine cover tape. Such a joy to play.

Nebulus – Every system out there
This game has also been called Tower Toppler, I would assume most gamers’ would of played this once in their lives. This game was ported to nearly every system and plays well on all of them. This game will push you to your limits. What’s quite enjoyable is that it has two types of game play, Plat forming and shooter.

Pinball Fantasies – Amiga
The first great Pinball game ever created in our opinion. Great pinball physics, graphics and colours that will blow your mind. If you can’t get your hands on the Amiga version there is a iOS version in HD as well in it’s original form .
